1`7 <br />Mayor Malone called for the tabulation of bids for a radar unit for the Police <br />Department, and the following bids were presented: <br />Law Enforcement Equipment Company $1,874.00 <br />Kansas City, Mo. <br />Bill Story Law Enforcement Supply 1,597.00 <br />Dallas, Texas <br />Kustom Electronics 1,495.00 <br />Rockwell, Texas <br />Vindicator, Inc. 900.00 <br />Missouri City, Texas <br />A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Kohls to award <br />the bid to the Vindicator, Inc. in the amount of $900.00 The motion carried <br />6 ayes, -0 nays. <br />Mayor Malone called for the tabulation of bids for playground equipment for the <br />A. M. Aikin School and the following bids were presented: <br />Modlin Recreation Equipment, Inc. $17,434.00 <br />Arlington, Texas <br />Persenaire Parks and Playground Products $18,992.00 <br />Houston, Texas <br />A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Wortham to <br />award the bid to the Modlin Recreation Equipment Inc. The motion carried 6 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />Mr. Dean Aikin, 757 20th S. E. appeared before the Council and presented a petition <br />for a 6 inch water line on 20th S. E. from Clarksville Street South tn Polk Street. <br />Mr. Aikin represented several people present in the audience. After discussion, <br />a motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Wortham to make <br />20th Street S. E. water line as requested a top priority after completion of the <br />Community Development Block Grant Project. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2052 authorizing the application for Community Development Block <br />Grant was presented.
