Y.. <br />RESOLUTION NO, 2052 . <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris is eligible to make appli- <br />cation for funds for Community Development Block Grant pro- <br />jects, which are funded by the Housing and Community Develop- <br />ment Act of 1974; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris has numerous community develop - <br />ment projects for which local funds have not been available; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, any city wishing to avail itself of Community <br />Development Block Grant project funds must provide for an <br />adequate citizen information and input program, such as is <br />outlined on Exhibit A attached hereto; i4OW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That an application be made for funds for Community <br />Development Block Grant Projects, which reflect <br />citizen input, utilizing the procedures as outlined <br />in Exhibit A attached hereto. <br />2, That Robert W. Sokoll, City Manager, be, and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to execute and de- <br />liver on behalf of the City of Paris the necessary <br />pre- applications, applications, communications, in- <br />struments, assurances and documents necessary for <br />the completion of said projects. <br />3, That Joe N. :McCollum, Director of Community Develop- <br />ment, be, and he is hereby appointed Project Director <br />for Community Development Block Grant projects. <br />Passed and adopted this 8th day of September, 1980, <br />�?ec ae i.a lone, ayor <br />;_'te <br />ATTEST:` <br />i <br />H, C, ree City Clerk <br />APPROVED?
