SJ <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />October 13, 1980 <br />.-� The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held Monday, <br />October 13, 1980 at 7:00 P. M. Mayor Malone called the meeting to order with the <br />following Councilmen present: Travis Wortham, Billy J. Burnett, Kenneth E. <br />Kohls, W. C. Francis, Ron Kyle, and Walter F. Williams, Also present were City <br />Manager, R. W. Sokoll, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, H. C, Greene. <br />Prayer was offered by Mr. Al Jordan, Music Director, First Baptist Church. <br />Mayor Malone asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of previous <br />meetings furnished to the Council members. There being none, the minutes <br />were approved. <br />Mayor Malone announced that the first order of business would be consideration <br />of recommendations made by the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />Mayor Malone declared the public hearing open on the petition of Greb Construction <br />Company for a change in zoning from a Two Family Dwelling District to a Multi - <br />Family Dwelling District No. 1 on Lot 2, City Block 227 -C located on the North- <br />west corner of 20th N. E. and Booth Street. <br />Mayor Malone called for proponents to appear and Mr. Charles Waldrum, Attorney, <br />appeared in behalf of the petitioners, and stated that plans were to develop <br />condominium apartments on the site. <br />Mayor Malone called for opponents to appear, and none appeared, and the public <br />hearing was declared closed and <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2531 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID <br />CITY; ESTABLISHING A MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1 (MF -1) ON LOT 2, <br />CITY BLOCK 227C, UPON PROPERTY OF WHICH GREB CONSTRUCTION, INC. OWNS A CURRENT <br />OPTION, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A TWO- FAMILY <br />DWELLING DISTRICT (2F); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE MULTIPLE FAMILY <br />DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1 (MF -1) SO ESTABLISHED. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman <br />Williams for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Malone declared the public hearing open on the petition of Lonnie Kennemer, <br />Doyle Whitaker and J. W. Harrison for a change in zoning from a One Family <br />Dwelling District No. 2 to a Planned Development District Housing- Community <br />Unit Development on Lots 4, 5, and 6, Block B. Wynnwood Addition, located on <br />the east side of Collegiate Drive between Clarksville Street and Clark Lane. <br />Mayor Malone called for proponents to appear and Mr. Lonnie Kennemer appeared <br />in behalf of the petitioners stating that it was their plans to develop four- <br />teen townhouse units on the site. <br />
