I City Manager Sokoll discussed with the Counil the need for radio and communication equipment maintenance proposals. Mayor Malone appointed a Committee composed of Mayor Malone, Councilman Burnett, and Councilman 4lortham to consider maintenance proposals. Mayor Malone called for the reading of a Resolution accepting Aikin Drive from Paris Ind. School Distrct and dedicating the same to public use. Resolution No. 2061 accepting, designating, and dedicating Aikin Drive from 30th Street N. E. east to Aikin Elem. School south parking lot as a public street of the City of Paris was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Kohls, seconded by Councilman Wortham for adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. RESOLUTION NO. 2061 WHEREAS, Paris Independent School District has heretofore constructed, in accordance with City of Paris street construction requirements, Aikin Drive, from 30th Street, N. E. , Last to Aikin Elementary School South parking lot; and, WHEREAS, Paris Independent School District now tenders to the City of Paris said street and the right of way upon which it is constructed, described in Exhibit A attached hereto, for public use; a nd, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris finds it to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris to accept said tender and to henceforth maintain the same as a public street; NOW, THEREI{ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That Aikin Drive, from 30th Street, N. E. , East to Aikin Elementary School South parking lot, be, and the same is hereby accepted, designated and dedicated as a public street of the City of Paris.
