WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did at its
<br />regular meeting on the 12th day.of November, 1979 approve the
<br />advertisement for bids for furnishing -all plant., .labor,
<br />material and equipment, and performing all work required for
<br />the construction of approximately 870 linear feet of concrete
<br />lined drainage channel, 82.34 cubic yards of structural con-
<br />crete and miscellaneous construction items on a.branch of Big
<br />Sandy Creek, East of 34th Street., N.' E. between Lamar Avenue
<br />and Pine Mill Road entitled 34th STREET N. E. DRAINAGE PROJECT,
<br />PHASE I, which bids were received until 10:00 o'clock A,M.,
<br />Wednesday, January,9, 1980; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction project was
<br />..made by Wise Sullivan Construction Company, Inc,, P. 0'. Box 381,
<br />Durant, Oklahoma 74701, and it should be awarded the .contract for -
<br />such construction; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the form of contract for such construction project
<br />is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form should be approved;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />That the.bid of.Wise Sullivan Construction Company, Inc, for. the
<br />34th Street, N. E. Drainage Project, Phase I in the amount of
<br />$94,415.90, is hereby accepted and let.. conditioned upon said con-
<br />tractor meeting all of the terms and specifications included in
<br />the bid documents; and,
<br />I i BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of Paris.,
<br />Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed
<br />to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the contract for the
<br />34th Street, N. E. Drainage Project, Phase I, upon the terms and
<br />conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto,
<br />with Wise Sullivan Construction.Company, Inc,
<br />Passed and adopted this 14th.day of January, 1980..
