G Resolution No. 1870 appointing James McFadden, Robert White and Nancy Swaim to serve as members of the Traffic Commission for a term of three years beginning July 1, 1978 was presented. Motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Williams for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, I nay, Councilman Philley voting nay. s RESOLUTION NO. 1870 WHEREAS, the terms of office of W. M.. Lightfoot, Glenn L. Edwards.. and W. J. Johnson, as members of the Traffic Commission of the City of Paris will expire on June 30, 1978; and, WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, Michael E. Malone, has appointed James McFadden, Robert White and Nancy Swaim for a term of three (3) years, beginning July 1, 1978 -and ending June- 30, 1981; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the appointments of James McFadden, Robert White and Nancy Swaim, to serve as members of the Traffic Commission of the City of Paris, for a term of three (3) years, beginning July 1, 1978 and ending June 30, 1981, be, and the same are hereby ap- proved and confirmed by the City Council of the City of Paris. Passed and adopted. this 12th day of June, 1978. APP OVED A TO FORM: T. K. aynes, City Attorney Mayor Malone requested the Council to confirm Councilman Philley as a member of the City School Committee. Motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Wunsch to approve the appointment of Councilman Philley to the City School Committee. Motion carried 6 ayes, I nay. Councilman Philley voting nay. Mayor Malone called for receipt of tabulation of bids on the Lake Gibbons lease and City Manager Sokoll advised that only one bid had been received that being of B. J. Fain for five years at $2,200.00 per year and a five year option at $2,400.00 per year. City Manager Sokoll recommended approval of the bid.
