G <br />Resolution No. 1870 appointing James McFadden, Robert White and Nancy Swaim to serve <br />as members of the Traffic Commission for a term of three years beginning July 1, 1978 <br />was presented. Motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Williams <br />for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, I nay, Councilman Philley <br />voting nay. <br />s <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1870 <br />WHEREAS, the terms of office of W. M.. Lightfoot, Glenn L. <br />Edwards.. and W. J. Johnson, as members of the Traffic Commission <br />of the City of Paris will expire on June 30, 1978; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, Michael E. Malone, <br />has appointed James McFadden, Robert White and Nancy Swaim for <br />a term of three (3) years, beginning July 1, 1978 -and ending June- 30, <br />1981; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the appointments of James McFadden, Robert White <br />and Nancy Swaim, to serve as members of the Traffic Commission <br />of the City of Paris, for a term of three (3) years, beginning July 1, <br />1978 and ending June 30, 1981, be, and the same are hereby ap- <br />proved and confirmed by the City Council of the City of Paris. <br />Passed and adopted. this 12th day of June, 1978. <br />APP OVED A TO FORM: <br />T. K. aynes, City Attorney <br />Mayor Malone requested the Council to confirm Councilman Philley as a member of the <br />City School Committee. Motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman <br />Wunsch to approve the appointment of Councilman Philley to the City School Committee. <br />Motion carried 6 ayes, I nay. Councilman Philley voting nay. <br />Mayor Malone called for receipt of tabulation of bids on the Lake Gibbons lease and <br />City Manager Sokoll advised that only one bid had been received that being of B. J. <br />Fain for five years at $2,200.00 per year and a five year option at $2,400.00 per <br />year. City Manager Sokoll recommended approval of the bid. <br />
