City Manager Sokoll presented the replat of Lot 24, City Block 312 for approval. <br />Councilman Farris requested to be excused because of conflict of interest. Motion <br />was made by Councilman Wunsch, seconded by Councilman Burnett to excuse Councilman <br />Farris. Motion carried unanimously. -- <br />Councilman Farris departed the Chambers. <br />Mr. Brad Hutchison, attorney, appeared in behalf of Dr. John Rogers requesting <br />approval of the replat. He stated that the Planning Commission had recommended <br />approval of the replat subject to an access easement and a utility easement to <br />the Rogers lot. Mr. Thomas Steely app . aced before the Council stating that he <br />would no longer object to the replat with the required easements. Motion was made <br />by Councilman Wunsch, seconded by Coundilman Fisher to approve the replat. Motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Councilman Farris entered the Council Cambers and assumed his chair. <br />City Manager Sokoll presented a final plat of North Park Estates No. 2 for approval. <br />He Stated that the Planning Commission had recommended approval subject to 9 <br />exceptions listed in the Director of Public Works memorandum dated August 7.,.1978. <br />All but 2 of these exceptions had been corrected and he recommended approval sub- <br />ject to the correction of the other 2 exceptions. Motion was made by Councilman <br />Farris, seconded by Councilman Wunsch to approve the plat subject to the exceptions. <br />Motion carried 6 ayes,. 1 nay, Councilman Philley casting the negative vote: <br />City Attorney Haynes presented the petition of Gene McWaters, 'Jr. for a change in <br />zoning from a One Family Dwelling Distri_ct.No. 2 (SF -2) and Agricultural District <br />(A) to a Commercial District (C) on part of Lot 1 and Lot 3, City Block 344 located <br />on the southwest corner of Bonham and 41st S.W. <br />Mayor Malone referred the petition to the Planning and Zoning.Commission for their <br />study and recommendation and called for a public hearing at the next regular <br />Council meeting. <br />Mayor tlalone announced that the next order of business would be consideration of <br />the recommendatiods of the Traffic Commission. <br />The first item was to con0 8er authdrizing the installation of stop signs at.the <br />following locations: on 34th N.W. at Graham, southbound traffic; Pine Mill Road <br />at Loop 286; Clement Road at Loop 286; 34th N.E. at Loop 286; 20th N.E. at Loop <br />286; 30th N.E. at Loop 286; Hickory Street at Loop 286; Ballard Drive at Loop 286. <br />Mayor Malone announced that the Traffic Commission had recommended that all of the <br />stop signs be authorized. Motion was made by Councilman Wunsch, seconded by <br />Councilman Fisher to authorize preparation of the ordinance for the stop signs. <br />Motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
