32 <br />Mayor Malone called for tabulations of bids for demolition of the old abandoned <br />Water Treatment facilities at Lake Crook and the following bids were presented: <br />Ned Jenkins $17,500.00 <br />David Buster 453,000.00 <br />City Manager Sokoll advised that the low bid was that of Ned Jenkins in the <br />amount of $17,500.00, but that the bid did not include a 100% Performance <br />Bond as specified, but rather a $5,000.00 cash bond. City Manager recommended <br />that the demolition project be rebid. <br />Mr. Ned Jenkins, 908 13th S. E. appeared before the Council stating that he was <br />unable to obtain a 100% Performance Bond. <br />After discussion a motion was made by Councilman Wunsch, seconded by Councilman <br />Williams to rebid the demolition of the old abandoned Water Treatment Facilities <br />at Lake Crook, and that the bid include a $5,000.00 Performance Bond. Motion <br />carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Malone called for the tabulation of bids for the repair and replacement <br />of instruments and controls for the water system and annual service maintenance <br />contract. The City Manager recommended that the bid of Honeywell Company for <br />repair and replacement of instruments in the amount of $22,100.00, and an <br />annual service maintenance contract in the amount of $13,555.00 be approved. <br />Director of Public Works, Ennis Killingsworth appeared before the Council <br />stating that a item not appearing in the bid concerning PH & Turbidity tests <br />was available in our own lab at the Water Treatment Plant. Mr. David White <br />representing Honeywell appeared before the Council stating that the maintenance <br />agreement contained everything called for in the bid. After discussion a motion <br />was made by Councilman Farris, seconded by Councilman Burnett approving the <br />recommendation of the City Manager and awarding the bid to Honeywell Corporation. <br />Motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Malone called for tabulation of bids for pumps, motors, and appurtenances <br />in the Water Treatment Plant, and the following bids were presented: <br />PUMPS AND MOTORS BASE BID ALTER14ATE BID <br />Southern Engin & Pump Company $67,498.00 $33,749.00 <br />
