City Manager Sokoll presented an Affirmative Action Plan to the Council and <br />recommended its approval. <br />Resolution No. 2896 approving and adopting the.Affirmative Action Plan was <br />presented. A motion was made by Councilman 1jilliams9 seconded by Councilman <br />Farris for adoption of the Resolution. motion carried 6 ayes, 0_nays. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 1896 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, deems it <br />in the best interest of the citizens of Paris that they be <br />served by a Municipal Government which provides equal employment <br />opportunities; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Affirmative Action Plan attached hereto as <br />Exhibit "A" will promote equal opportunity; NOW THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />That the Affirmative Action Plan attached hereto as Exhibit "A" <br />be, and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the Mayor, <br />Michael E. Malone, the City Manager,Robert W. Sokoll and the <br />EEO Officer,H. C.
