City Attorney Haynes presented an annexation ordinance and zoning ordinance <br />on 25.871 acre tract belonging to Munsingwear, Inc., and advised that this <br />was the last step in the annrxatiou. Ordinance No. 2414 <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY <br />LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION <br />OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 25.871 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, <br />WHICH IS LESS THAN TEN PER CENT (10%) OF THE TERRITORY INCLUDED <br />WITHIN ITS PRESENT CITY LIMITS, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES <br />ADJACE14T TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS,PARIS, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING ZONING FOR SAID <br />TERRITORY. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by <br />Councilman Williams for adoption of the Ordinance. Motion carried 6 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll presented an audit report performed by McClanahan & <br />Holmes for the fiscal year 1977 -1978. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Wunsch, seconded by Councilman Williams to receive the report. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll requested authorization to advertise for bids for a <br />Ditching Machine for the Water Department, and a Gravel Spreader for the <br />Street Department. A motion was made by Councilman Wunsch, seconded by <br />Councilman Burnett, approving the request. Motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Director of Finance, Greene presented a. report on the Water and Sewer <br />Revenue Bond requirements and Bond coverage for the fiscal year ending <br />June.30, 1978. Mr. Greene reminded the Council that the Hayter Engineering <br />report on Water & Sewer rates for the City of Paris dated March 14, 1977 <br />recommended that the water rate be increased 14.6% and sewage rate'29.7% on <br />January 1st, 1978, and that after review in January 1978 it was found that <br />the rate was sufficicent- and needed no change at that time. Based on <br />income of the last fiscal year ending June 30, 1978, it was recommended <br />that'-the current water and sewer rate be maintained at this time and that <br />the income be reviewed at December 31, 1978. <br />y' 4 <br />After discussion a motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by <br />COUIIC.lman Wunsch to receive the report. Motion carried 6 ayes, -0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll presented changes in Supplemental Agreement between <br />the U. S. A. and the City of Paris for water storage space in Pat -Mayse <br />Lake. Such changes being recommended ° -by the Department of the Army. <br />Resolution No. 1897 approving the Supplemental Agreement No. 1 and <br />authorizing the Mayor to execute the agreement was presented. A motion <br />was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Williams approving <br />the Resolution. Motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
