CITY ^G;i NC1 <br />November 13, 1978 <br />The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris wRo- s '!Onday, <br />November 13, 1978 at 7:00 P. M. Mayor Malone called the meeting to order <br />with the following Councilmen present: B. J. Burnett, Jim Farris, 11.s mond <br />Wunsch, Walter F. Williams, George Fisher, Jr., and David rhilley. Also <br />present were City Manager, Robert W. Sokoll, and City Clerk, H. C. Greene., <br />Prayer was offered by Warren Leddick, Director of Parks and Recreation, City <br />of Paris. <br />Mayor Malone ask if there were any corrections to the minutes of previous <br />meetings furnished to the Council members. There being none, the minutes <br />were approved. <br />Mayor Malone announced that the first order of business would be consideration <br />of recommendations made by the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />Mayor Malone declared the public hearing open on the petition of JoEtrxw. <br />Biard for a change in zoning from.a Commercial District (C) to a Co==w ercia.9 <br />District (C) and Specific Use Permit - Auto Fuel Sales on Lot 14, City Black <br />45 -A located on the northeast corner of Bonham Street and 9th N. W. <br />Mayor Malone called for proponents to appear and Mr. John Biard spoke for tha <br />petition stating that a six bay car wash was under construction on the site <br />and they were seeking the permit to allow gasoline sales in connection with <br />the business. <br />Mayor Malone called for opponents to appear and none appeared. <br />Mayor Malone declared the public hearing closed and Ordinance No. 2415: <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED <br />BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A COMMERCIAL DIST- <br />RICT (C) AND A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT, AUTO FUEL SALES(49), ON <br />LOT 14, CITY BLOCK45A, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO LAWRENCE <br />MCDOWELL AND JOHN W. BIARD, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TEt:RITORY <br />FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C); AND DESIGNAT- <br />ING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COMMERCIAL DISTR CT (C) AND SPECIFIC: USE <br />PERMIT, AUTO FUEL SALES(49), SO ESTABLISHED. <br />was presentcl. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman <br />Wunsch for adoption of the Ordinance. Motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Malone declared the public hearing open on the petition of 0. L. Ralmey <br />for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 to a .I:isti- <br />Family Dwelling District No. 1 on Lot 14, City Block 296, located on tae <br />north side of Lamar Ave. at 33rd Street S. E. <br />Mayor Malone called for proponents to appear and Mr. 0. L. Rainey appeared in <br />behalf of his petition. Mr. Rainey advised he proposed to construct apartments <br />at the location. <br />
