3 7. <br />Discussion was had concerning the City paying the cost of utilities that was <br />recommended to be included.in the rental fee after further.discussion a motion <br />was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Williams to table the <br />recommendation. Motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll advised the Council that the Airport Advisory Board had <br />recommended renewing permits for the Paris Flight Center for flight " training <br />and aircraft tental; James Wrenn for aerial spraying, flight' training, and <br />aircraft rental; and-James Howell for aerial spraying. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Farris, seconded 'by Councilman Wunsch to approiie <br />the renewal of the permits as presented. Motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays: <br />City Manager Sokoll advised the Counaff that the Airport Board had recommended <br />and emergency aircraft maintehifiice permit for Mr. James Wrenn. Mr. Jim Collier, <br />Airport Manageri- .appeared before the Council stating that the temporary permit - <br />was fot eriifjtity use only, and that no one else posessed the credentials and <br />or spate to perform the service; that the service would be a credit to' the Paris <br />Airpott...Aftet ' iiscussion a motion was made by Councilman Farris, seconded by <br />Councilman Wunsch to grant the temporary emergency Aircraft maintenance permit <br />to Mr. Jimmy Wrenn.. Motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager So 'advised the Council that the Airport Board had recommended <br />that the monthly hangar rental rates effective January 1, 1979 be increased <br />as follows: Closea hangar $50.00; big hangar $35.00 per single engine and $40.00 <br />for twins; individual hangars to be $22.50. �. <br />A motion was made,by Councilman Wunsch, seconded by Councilman Burnett approving <br />the recommendation fc rental ratod. :Motion tarried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll advised the Council that the Building Commission had <br />recommended that the Council adopt the 1977 Texas Municipal League's Plumbing <br />Code with certain amendments, and invited the Council's attention to the <br />amendments included in the agenda. After discussion a motion was made by <br />Councilman Williams, seconded.by Councilman Burnett authorizing the preparation <br />of an Ordinance adopting the 1977 TML Plumbing Code. Motion carried 7 ayes <br />0 nays ._ - <br />Mayor Malone acting as spAdsmian for the committee appiiitlted to 9ti�dy the ggrlsdge <br />and trash Committee teport advised that the cotmiittree hack tried slid was: not ptepaxed <br />at this time to make recommendations Atid that the committee "taoitld iiteet fdtthet <br />in the future. <br />Mr. Robed MdUhitter, Attorney fbt Midwest Video Corporation appeared before <br />the Coutidil stating that because of some City of Paris Charter provisions the <br />Midwest Video Cori oration would surrender its franchise at midnight prior to the <br />ddte that the new franchise would take effect which was being presented for third <br />and final reading at this council meeting. <br />Mayor Malone called for the third and final reading of an Ordinance granting <br />a Franchise to the Midwest Video Corporation Ordinance No. 2424: <br />AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO MIDWEST VIDEO CORPOP.ATIONA RENEWAL <br />OF ITS FRANCHISE TO USE THE PUBLIC STREETS AND ALLEYS OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF RECEIVING, AMPLIFYING <br />AND DISTRIBUTING TELEVISION SIG14ALS AND PROVIDING FOR THE <br />REGULATION OF THE BUSINESS AND PROVIDING FOR P&AAMENT FOR THE <br />USE OF THE STREETS, ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND CON - <br />TAINING OTHER MATERIAL PROVISIONS AS SET FORTH BELOW. <br />was presented. Motion carried <br />7 ayes. 0 nays. <br />Mayor Malone called for reading of a Resolution authorizing condemnation <br />procedures for Blake Road right of way. <br />Resolution No. 1903 authorizing and directing the City Attorney to proceed to <br />condemn various properties to be used for Make Road improvement project from <br />Fitzhugh Ave. to 20th N.
