RESOLUTION NO. 1911 <br />r 47 _- WHEREAS, the .,Cityl.'Council -of the City of Paris did in Resolution <br />No.' 1876 establish the Parks rand'1Recreation Board to consist ,of nine (9) <br />=;r11 members,,with= staggered initial appointments as .follows: Three (3) members #.i - <br />` for one year terms, three (3)•members for two year terms and three (3) members , <br />M for three year terms, ; and - thereafter all appointments to be for three year termsv <br />with partially completed terns being filled.:for =the remainder of said terms and;, <br />WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of --the Parks and r <br />Recreation-Board due to Mike Reinhardt moving from the City of Paris, and ; <br />{ the Mayor of the City of Paris, Michael E. Malone, having appointed Katie.. <br />-" Bryant to serve the unexpired term of Mike Reinhardt, which ends June 30, <br />1980, and has the name;of such person to the City Council of the <br />City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITT OF PARIS, That the <br />ri <br />appointment o'f Katie Bryant as amember'of the Parks and Recreation Board., <br />to serve the unexpired term of Mike Reinhardt, which ends June -30, 1980, is - <br />by the City Council of the City of Paris hereby approved and confirmed. <br />Passed and:adopted this 11th day of December, 1978: <br />lk <br />ATTEST:'.;:. , <br />H. Haynes, City Attorney <br />Mayor Malone stated that the next order of business would be consideration of <br />a Resolution authorizing $5,000.00 contribution for the funding of the Youth <br />Services Program for Lamar County. <br />Resolution No. 1912 authorizing and directing the Director of Finance, R. C. <br />Greene to pay to Lamar County an amount not to exceed $5,000.00 for the purpose <br />of funding a Youth Services Program, and directing the City Manager to monitor <br />the program and make periodical reports to the City Council was presented. A <br />motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Burnett for <br />adoption of the Resolution. Motion carried 6 ayes, 1 nay. Councilman Philley <br />voting nay. <br />
