RESOLUTION NO. 1912 <br />WHEREAS, - -the City. Council of the City of Paris „is _vitally <br />interested in the youth of Paris and Lamar County; and, <br />WHEREAS, -the Juvenile Judge,” acting on behalf ;.of the Juvenile <br />Board, has ''re Nested the !Cit Council of the. City of Paris to appro - t <br />priate up to $5,, 000: 00 toa be 'used as matching funds for the procure- <br />_ ment of a grant through the Texas Department of Human Resources <br />to provide for a Youth Services Program heretofore known as Youth <br />Diversion Program; and <br />WHEREAS, said program is ' described in Exhibit A attached <br />hereto; and, <br />WHEREAS, the funds appropriated by the City of Paris and <br />those received : as grant from the Texas Department of Human c <br />` Resources are to be expended in accordance with the Budget for <br />Purchase of Services attached hereto as Exhibit B; NOW, THERE- <br />. <br />FORE, E <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF . THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the Director of Finance, H. C. Greene, be, and he is L. <br />hereby authorized and directed to pay to Lamar County an amount not <br />to exceed $5, 000. 00, conditioned upon said expenditure being for the r <br />program described in Exhibit A attached hereto, with expenditures <br />being made only in accordance with Exhibit B attached hereto; and, ` <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Robert W. - Sokoll, City <br />Manager of the City of Paris, is hereby authorized and- directed to <br />monitor the above described program and expenditures and to make <br />periodic reports to the City Council of the City -of Paris with regards <br />to the effectiveness of said program and the appropriatness of the t <br />expenditure of such public funds. <br />Passed and adopted this 11th day of December, 1978. <br />Michael E.
