City Manager Sokoll gave a progress report on on -going projects of the City <br />of Paris. <br />Mayor Malone declared an Executive Session for the purpose of consulting with <br />the City Attorney on legal matters, and discussin- personnel matters. <br />The regular session was declared closed and the executive session open. <br />Discussion was had on contracts for Cox Field, the City of Reno, and the <br />Lamar County Water District. Mayor Malone declared the executive session <br />closed and the regular session open. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Parris, seconded by Councilman Fisher to <br />take from the table the recommendations of the Airport Advisory Board for <br />lease of the Airport Hangar Building to Mr. James Wrenn for the purpose of <br />establishing an airplane maintenance service. Motion carried 7 ayes, O nays. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Burnettz..seconded by Councilman Williams <br />authorizing the preparation of a lease for the Cox Field Kaiiger to James <br />Wrenn with the following provisionst Tfiat the lease be rated January 1, 1979 <br />for 10 years with two 5 year options; that the refital fee be for $300.00 <br />permonth with t6 'City paying city.utilitied with eity tetdining use of the <br />operations bffice, pilot lounge and festtdomg that the lease be increased <br />to $325.00 per month with Jimmy Wrenn required to pay the utilities bills <br />on the hangar building when the City vacates the operations office, pilot <br />lounge and restrooms; that rental would be negotiated at renewal date; that <br />present tenants be allow to remain until new hangars space is completed; <br />that the lease be contingent on Mr. Wrenn providing maintenance services. <br />The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Discussion was had on the construction and site location of the proposed new <br />Elementary School in east Paris. A motion was made by Councilman. Farris, seconded <br />by Councilman Fisher directing the City Manager and City Engineer to prepares a <br />strip.map and to begin acquisition of right of way on Pine Mill Road from 30th <br />Street N.
