MINUTES OF SPECIAL HEETING OF THE CITY COUFICIL <br />APIRL 3, 1978 <br />A Special sleeting of the City Council was held on Monday, Plarch 3, 1978 at <br />5:15 P.M. with the following Councilmen present: Mayor James F�l. Brunette, <br />George Fisher, Jr., Michael - Malone, Jimmy Don Stone, Walter F. Williams, <br />David Philley, and Raymond Wunsch. Also present was Acting City I`'lanager, <br />H. C. Greene, and City Attorney, T. K. Haynes. <br />Mayor Brunette announced the purpose of the Special Fleeting was for the <br />discussion and action, if any, for the selection of a City Hanager. <br />Mayor Brunette declared the meeting in executive session. <br />In executive session the Council discussed the selection and offer of <br />employment as City Manager to Robert W. Sokoll, Levelland, Texas. <br />Flayor Brrnette declared the executive session closed, and the regular <br />session open. Councilman Wunsch, speaking in behalf of the Committee <br />composed of all the Council members for the selection and offer of <br />employment for Manager, advised that discussion was had, to a person <br />known as resume No. 10 to the Councilmen. <br />Councilman Wunsch made a motion that the Mayor be authorized to make an <br />offer of employment to the person knot-in as resume No. 10, and if accepted <br />to call a press conference for the announcement. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Philley, and apoll of the Councilmen showed 6 ayes, 1 nay. <br />Councilman Nalone voting nay.. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjurned. <br />MAYOR JAMES i'l.
