14 <br />Ordinance No. 2190: <br />"AIN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF <br />THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE <br />BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; <br />ESTABLISHING A HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (HI), SPE- <br />CIFIC USE PERMIT, TANNING, CURING OR STORAGE OF SKINS <br />OR HIDES (32), WITH LIMITATIONS, ON LOTS 2 AND 3,. <br />CITY BLOCK 47, ON PROPERTY.BELONGING TO EUVMR WHITA- <br />KER AND NEIL WHITAKER, D /B /A PARIS HIDE AND FUR COi<% <br />PANY, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMIERLY <br />DESIGNATED AS A LIGIT. INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI); AND <br />DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE HEAVY INDUSTRIAL <br />DISTRICT (HI)i SPECIFIC USE PERMIT, TANNING, CURING <br />OR STORAGE OF SKINS OR HIDES (32), WITH LIMITATIONSS <br />SO ESTABLISHED." <br />was presented. -A motion was made by Councilman King and seconded by <br />Councilman Stone that the Ordinance be adopted. <br />Bef ore the question, City Attorney Haynes advised the Council of the re- <br />ceipt of a letter from Mr. Santee Cooper opposing the change. <br />Mayor Brunette called for the vote which showed 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt presented a Plot Plan presented by the Paris Junior <br />College. After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Whitaker and <br />seconded by Councilman Rainey to approve the Plot Plan. The motion car- <br />ried: 7 ayes, O nays. <br />The Final Plat of the Merry -Glenn Addition No. 2 was presented to the <br />Council. A motion.was :Wade by Councilman King and seconded by Councilman <br />Moore that the Final Plat be approved subject to the requirements of the <br />Director of Public Works. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission to name the street <br />connecting U. S. Highway 82 with Pine Mill Road, just West of Funston Ter- <br />race, such street being the Eastern extraterritorial jurisdiction of the <br />City, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Stone and seconded <br />by Councilman Whitaker that the street be named "46th Street N. E.11 The <br />motion.caxried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The Final Plat of the Morningside Estate Part 1 -B was presented to the <br />Council. A motion was made by Councilman Rainey and seconded by Councilman <br />Moore that the Final Plat be approved, subject to the requirements of the <br />Director of Public Works. The motion carried: 7 ayes, O nays. <br />Resolution No. 1615, commending F. D. Mallory, III, for his services to the <br />City, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Hutchison and seconded <br />by Councilman Rainey that the Resolution be adopted. The motion carried: <br />7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
