1.42 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1643 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did in <br />Resolution No. 1545 authorize the acceptance of Federal Aviation <br />Administration Grant -Offer dated 5 March, 1973, which committed <br />Federal funds in the amount of $5,388. 00 for improvements at <br />Cox Field Municipal Airport, Paris, Texas; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, acting by and <br />through Kerry R. Sweatt, City Manager, duly authorized, did accept <br />said Grant Offer by executing the Grant Agreement; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration has issued <br />Amendment No. 1 to the Grant Agreement, which increases the <br />Federal participation from 50% to 82% of the project costs; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is determined to be in the best interest of the <br />City. of Paris, Paris, Texas, that said amendment increasing the <br />maximum obligation of the United States from $5,388. 00 to $9,177. 95 <br />be accepted; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That the City Council of the City of Paris does hereby <br />accept the provisions of Amendment No. 1 to Grant <br />Agreement for Project No. 8-48-0169-01, a copy of <br />which is attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br />2. That the City Manager of the City of Paris, Kerry R. <br />Sweatt, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to execute said Amendment No. 1 to Grant Agreement, <br />providing for Federal participation in the amount of <br />8297 with a maximum Federal obligation of $9, 177.95. <br />Passed and adopted this 21st day of October, 1974. <br />ATTEST: <br />_/ 1 <br />H.
