146- <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That from the above and foregoing canvass <br />of the returns of the votes in the four (4) respective voting boxes in <br />such election, it is declared and determined that an amount not less <br />than $3, 000 of the assessed value of residence homesteads of persons <br />65 years of age or older shall be exempt from ad valorem taxes <br />levied by the City of Paris, in accordance with Article 8, Section I -b, <br />of the Constitution of the State of Texas. <br />Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris in <br />special session convened pursuant to the directions of the City Charter <br />of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, on this the 30th day of October, 1974_ <br />ATTEST: <br />H.
