`—Mayor Brunette announced that there would be an executive session at the end of the <br />regular Council Meeting to discuss contract matters. <br />City Manager Sweatt requested authorization to have prepared an ordinance establishing <br />guidelines -for use in. the administration of the homestead exemption for persons 65 <br />years of age or older, for presentation at the December 9, 1974 Council Meeting. A <br />motion was made by Councilman Hutchison and seconded by Councilman Moore that the re- <br />quest be granted. The motion carried: 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt presented a request from the American LaFrance e- Company requesting <br />an extension of delivery time of the aerial ladder truck scheduled for delivery De- <br />.cember 15, 1974. The company requested 15 days extension of time to December 30, 19745 <br />due to shortages and delays due to strikes, as well as material supply. A motion was <br />made by Councilman Rainey and seconded by Councilman Hutchison that 15 days be granted <br />based on information presented in letters dated October 21, 1974, American LaFrance, <br />and attached copies dated February 1, 1974, Sperry Rand Corporation, September 18, 19 <br />Seibering Tire Company, and September 18, 1974, Firestone Co. and American LaFrance- _ <br />letter dated November 5, 1974, extending delivery date to December 30, 1974. The mo- <br />tion carried: 5 ayes, 0 nays... = <br />Resolution No. 1649, authorizing the City Clerk, H. C. Greene, to mark an official <br />ballot casting the City of Paris votes for Texas Municipal League workmen's Compens-a- <br />tion Joint Insurance Fund Trustees, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Hutchison and seconded by Councilman King that the Resolution be adopted. The motion <br />carried: 5 ayes,.0 nays. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1649 . <br />. WHEREAS, the City of Paris is a member city of the Texas <br />Municipal League Workmen's Compensation Joint Insurance Fund and <br />therefore is entitled to cast votes for three (3) Trustees whose <br />terms of office will expire on December 31, 1975; three (3) Trustees <br />whose terms of office will expire on December 31, 1976 and three (3) <br />Trustees whose terms of office will expire on December 31, 1977; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That its votes be cast for Alfred H. Koebig, W. E. Routh <br />and R. Marvin Townsend for Trustees whose terms expire on <br />December 31, 1975; for N. Alex Bickley, Norman McK. Barker and <br />J_ Bruce Aycock for Trustees whose terms expire on December 31, <br />1976; and for Bill B. Storey, Richard D. Brown and Carl White for <br />Trustees whose terms expire on December 31, 1977. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City. Clerk, H. C. <br />Greene, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to mark the <br />official ballot in accordance with the above Council action and certify <br />to the same. <br />Passed and adopted this 20th day of November, 1974. <br />a es M.
