W. Robert Hayter, Consulting Engineer for the Sewer Treatment Plant, appeared before the Council, stating that the construction was 90+ percent complete; that the plant could be put in operation if the equipment on or- der had been received; that several pieces of equipment had not yet been received; that operational date for the new Sewer Treatment Plant appeared to be mid - September, or October Ist. Resolution No. 1624, amending a lease agreement between the City of Paris and the Young Women's Christian Association, on property in walker Park, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Rainey and seconded by Councilman Stone that the Resolution be adopted. The motion carried: 7 ayes, O nays. RESOLUTION NO. 1624 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did, in Resolution No. 1608, on the 8th day of April, 1974, authorize the leasing of certain property in Walker Park to the Young Women's Christian Association of Paris and Lamar County; and, WHEREAS, the description of Walker Park in Paragraph 1 of the Agreement of Lease, approved in Resolution No. 1608, is incorrect and should be corrected to reflect the description attached hereto as Exhibit A; and, WHEREAS, the property approved for lease in Resolution No. 1608 to the Young Women's Christian Association of Paris and Lamar County, has now been determined to be an unacceptable site for the location of the log cabin which the YWCA. desired to place thereon, and a substitute area has been selected and is described on Exhibit B attached hereto; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the correct description of Walker Park, as appears on Exhibit A attached hereto, is hereby substituted for the incorrect description appearing in Paragraph I of Agreement of Lease approved in Resolution No. 1608. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the lease space described as 22' x 40' in Paragraph 1 and throughout said Agreement of Lease be, and the same is hereby amended to read 24' x 44'. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the ending date shown in Paragraph 2 of the heretofore described Agreement of Lease be, and the same is hereby changed to March 31, 1984. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Exhibit B, attached hereto, be, and the same is hereby substituted for Exhibit A attached to the Agreement of Lease heretofore described.
