56 <br />Mayor Brunette called for tabulation of bids for a high pressure air com- <br />pressor for the Fire Department. City Manager Sweatt presented the fol- <br />lowing bids: <br />Fabric Fire Hose Co. <br />Air Power System <br />High Pressure Engine Co. <br />Deliver Time Base Bid <br />3 Weeks $3,245.00 <br />60 - 80 Days 62618.75 <br />2 - 3 Weeks 21959.04 <br />Alternate Bid <br />$2,950.00 <br />City Manager Sweatt recommended that the Fabric Fire Hose Company bid be <br />approved in the amount of $2,950.00 less 296 in 30 days. A motion was made <br />by Councilman Rainey and seconded by Councilman Itbitaker that the City Mana- <br />gerfs recommendation be approved. The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays. T` <br />Mayor Brunette called for the tabulation of bids for bulldozer for the <br />Sanitation Department fox use at the Sanitary Landfill. City Manager Sweatt- <br />presented the only bid xeceived, that being the Plains Machinery Company <br />in the amount of $117,966.00 less trade -in of $18,500.00 with net bid of <br />$99,466.00 with 45 days delivery. City Manager Sweatt stated that he re- <br />luctantly recommended the purchase of the equipment because of the dire <br />need at the Sanitary Landfill. <br />Resolution No. 1633, authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract with the <br />Plains Machinery Company for furnishing of a diesel powered cxawler tractor <br />dozer, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Stone and seconded <br />by Councilman King that the Resolution be adopted. The motion carried: 6 <br />ayes, O nays. <br />
