85 <br />Mayor Brunette called for the tabulation of bids received October 9, 1974 for sewer <br />vacuum vehicle, and the following bids were presented: <br />TIME NET <br />Rockwell International _0_ <br />Booth Motor Co. _0_ <br />Arlington Equipment Co. 90 $57,900.00 <br />City Manager Sweatt recommended that the bid of the Arlington Equipment Company in <br />the amount of $57,900.00 be approved. A motion was made by Councilman Rainey and <br />seconded by Councilman Hutchison that the recommendation of the City Manager be ap- <br />proved. The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor.Brunette called for the tabulation of bids received for street sweeper, and <br />the following bids were presented: <br />GROSS TRADE -IN NET <br />Plains Machinery Co. $22,184.00 $3,044.00 $19,140.00 <br />Southwest Municipal Supply 18,436.00 1,000.00 17,436.00 <br />City Manager Sweatt recommended that the bid of the Southwest Municipal Supply <br />Corporation be approved in the amount of $17,436.00,' A motion was made by Coun- <br />cilman King and seconded by Councilman Whitaker that the recommendation of the <br />City Manager be approved. The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 1640, authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract with the Southwest <br />Municipal Supply Company, Inc. for a street sweeper, was presented. A motion was <br />made by Councilman Rainey and seconded by Councilman Moore that the Resolution be <br />adopted. The motion carried: 6 ayes, O-nays. <br />
