86 <br />Mayor Brunette called for the tabulation of bids received for four (4) police ve- <br />hicles, and the following bids were presented: <br />Bill Booth Motor Co. $13,296.80 <br />Bob McDougall Olds- Cadillac, Inc. 11,742.00 <br />Howerton Motor Co. 13,828.00 <br />City Manager Sweatt recommended that the bid of the Bob McDougall olds - Cadillac <br />Company be approved. A motion was made by Councilman Rainey and seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Whitaker that the recommendation of the City Manager be approved. The mo- <br />tion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Brunette called for the tabulation of bids received for two (2) vehicles for <br />the Police Department for use in the investigative division, and the following bids <br />were presented: <br />Bill Booth Motor Co. $7,950.00 <br />Bob McDougall Old- Cadillac 7,500.00 <br />Howerton Motor Co. 6,936.00 <br />City Manager Sweatt recommended that the bid of the Howerton Motor Company be <br />approved. A motion was made by Councilman King and seconded by Councilman Whitaker <br />that the recommendation of the City Manager be approved. The motion carried: 6 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt requested authorization to extend the receipt of bids on earth <br />boring equipment to November 6, 1974. A motion was made by Councilman Whitaker <br />and seconded by Councilman Stone that the request of the City Manager be approved. <br />The motion carried: 6 ayes., 0 nays.. <br />City Manager Sweatt presented a request for water service connection to the Lamar <br />County Water Supply District at 2346 Meadowlark Road. A motion was made by Coun- <br />cilman Whitaker and seconded by Councilman Stone that the request be approved. <br />The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt requested- authorization to advertise for bids to be received <br />and tabulated on November 6, 1974 and presented to the Council at its Regular <br />Meeting on November 11, 1974 for five (5) pickups, one (1) panel truck, one trac- <br />tor and mower, and remodeling. work at the old police building. A motion was made <br />by Councilman Rainey and seconded by Councilman King that the request be granted. <br />The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt advised the Council of the need to establish a raw water rate <br />for raw water pumped from City owned lakes and recommended rates contained in the <br />following Ordinance. <br />Ordinance No. 2199: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING <br />THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BE <br />AMENDED BY ADDING A PARAGRAPH TO BE NUMBERED 31- 18(d), <br />PROVIDING FOR A PUMPED RAW WATER RATE, AND BY ADDING A SEC- <br />TION TO BE NUMBERED 31 -27, PROVIDING FOR THE PROCEDURE FOR <br />ESTABLISHING WATER AND SEWER RATES OUTSIDE THE CITY LIMITS <br />OF THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, AND PROVIDING FOR <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF NOVEMBER 1, 1974." <br />A motion was made by Councilman King and seconded by Councilman Moore that the <br />
