�' Ordinance be adopted.. The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays. Resolution No. 1641, authorizing and directing the City Manager to apply to the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor's Office for funding of maintenance fees of the high speed land line communication equipment utilized by the Paris Police Department, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Stone and seconded by Councilman Hutchison that the Resolution be adopted. The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays. RESOLUTION NO. 1641 WHEREAS, the Texas Criminal Justice Division of the Governor's Office has limited funds which it has made available to assist those Police Departments using the High Speed Landline Communications Equipment with 8570 of the maintenance fee for one year; and, WHEREAS, the Paris Police Department has such equipment; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it to the best interest of the City of Paris to accept said funds for the mainte- nance of such equipment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the City Manager of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to do any and all things necessary, in order that the City of Paris may receive $1,487.16 from the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor's Office, to be used for the payment of the maintenance fee of the High Speed Landline Communications Equipment utilized by the Paris ' Police Department; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Director of Finance, H. C. Greene, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to pay out of the current budget the sum of $262.44 to the Ark -Tex Council of Governments, in order that the above funds may be received by the City of Paris.
