�,. 178 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />January 13, 1975 <br />The Regular Meeting of the City Council was held on January 13, 1975 at 7:00 P. M. <br />Mayor J. M. Brunette called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen pre- <br />sent: Doyle Whitaker, Joe King, Brad Hutchison, 0. L. Rainey, W. M. (Dub) Moore, <br />and Sam M. Stone. Also present were City Manager K. R. Sweatt, City Attorney T. K. <br />+Haynes, and City Clerk H. C. Greene. <br />Prayer was offered by Reverend Pete Rathel, Associate pastor of Ramseur Baptist Church. <br />Mayor Brunette asked if there were any corrections of the minutes of previous meetings <br />as furnished the members of the Council.- There being none, the Minutes were approved. <br />Mayor Brunette announced that the first order of business would be consideration of <br />recommendations made by the Planning and Zoning Commission at its meeting on January <br />6, 1975. <br />Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing open on the petition of Harper, Harper, <br />and Harper, Inc. for a change in zoning from a One- Family Dwelling District No..2 <br />and General.Retail District Limited to a Planned Development District, Shopping Cen-, <br />ter, and Housing Development on Lots 10, 11, 12, Block A, Johnson's Woods Estates. <br />Sub - division. City Attorney Haynes stated that subsequent to the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission meeting, Mr. Harper had requested that the fence be moved 10 feet north <br />rather than 30 feet north of and parallel with the existing building, and the re- <br />zoning portion of the request be dropped at this time with the understanding that <br />he would resubmit such if necessary for development <br />Ordinance No. 2205: <br />"AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1935, WHICH — <br />ORDINANCE AMENDED ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS, SO AS TO CHANGE THE LIMITATION THAT NO USE BE MARE OF THE <br />PROPERTY THEREIN DESCRIBED UNTIL A FOUR FOOT CHAIN LINK FENCE, <br />ACCOMPANIED WITH A DENSE "GREEN BELT" SCREENING OF TALL GROWING <br />PLANTS, HAS BEEN PLACED ALONG THE NORTH BOUNDARY LINE OF SAID <br />PROPERTY, PRESENTLY BELONGING TO HARPER, HARPER AND HARPER, INC., <br />TO A SIX FOOT WOODEN STOCKADE FENCE ALONG A LINE 10 FEET NORTH <br />OF AND PARALLEL TO THE NORTH BOUNDARY LINE OF THE PROPERTY <br />DESCRIBED IN ORDINANCE NO. 1935; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR <br />PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Rainey and seconded by Councilman <br />Hutchison that the ordinance be adopted. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The final plat, a re -plat of Lots 1 and 2, City Block 113 -A; Lots 13,- 10 and part <br />of Lots 12, 11 and 9 of the Felts Fart and Varner Addition, property being devel- <br />oped by Dr. Walker and Dr. Bercher, was presented. Mr. A. W. Clem appeared in be- <br />half of Dr. Walker and Dr. Bercher, stating that his clients did not desire to dedi- <br />cate 10 feet of right -of -way as suggested by the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />Pair. Clem requested that in view of the fact that his clients were out of town at the <br />p zsent time that the Council delay action on the final plat to the next regular <br />
