337 Mr. Harry Short, Texas State Highway Department, appeared before the Council and presented a map, showing the Federal Aid Urban System and Urban Area Boundary, City of Paris. Mr. Short advised the Council that the Highway Department needed approval of the map in order to get approval from Austin, Texas and also in order to proceed with contracting of the Northwest Loop project. Resolution No. 1683, resolving that the interim Paris Federal Aid Urban System and Urban Area Boundary Map be approved and adopted, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman King and seconded by Councilman Sterling for the adoption of the reso- lution. The motion carried: 7 ayes, Q nays. RESOLUTION NO. 1683 . WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris continues its interest in cooperating with the Texas Highway Department to be eli- gible for assistance under the Federal Aid Urban System Program; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did hereto- fore at a Special Meeting of the City Council on the 17th day of February, 1975, give tentative approval to an Urban Boundary Map and the Urban System Plan within the boundary; and, WHEREAS, the Interim Paris Federal Aid Urban System and Urban Area Boundary Map has been prepared and is presented for final approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the Interim Paris Federal Aid Urban System and Urban Area Boundary Map, be, and the same is hereby approved and adopted; and, _ BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Clerk of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to mark a copy of said map as follows: APPROVED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS BY THE PASSAGE OF RESOLUTION NO. 1683 ON THE 12TH DAY OF MAY, 1975, and to place the same in the official records of the City of Paris.
