City Manager Sweatt advised the Council of the resignation of Mr. Hubert Westfail from the Airport Advisory Board. Mr. R. H. Nelms appeared before the Council, requesting that his lease agreement on property at Culbertson Park on which a miniature golf.course is located, be ended and thai a new lease agreement perfected with Mr. Kenneth_Gifford be approved. Resolution No. 1692, authorizing and directing Mayor James M. Brunette to enter into a lease agreement with Kenneth Gifford for a period of three years beginning November 1, 1974 and ending October 31, 1977, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman King and seconded by Councilman Stone for the adoption of the resolution. The motion carried: 7 ayes, O nays. RESOLUTION NO. 1692 . WHEREAS, the City of Paris did heretofore enter into a _lease with R. H. Nelms as authorized by Resolution No. 1579; and, WHEREAS, R. H. Nelms desires to cancel said lease; and, . WHEREAS, Kenneth Gifford is desirous of leasing for a three year period, beginning November 1, 1974. and ending October 31, 1977, the property heretofore leased to R. H. Nelms, and it would be right and proper for the City of Paris to enter into a three year lease contract with Kenneth Gifford, upon the terms and conditions and in. the form attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, James M. Brunette, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a lease agree- ment on behalf of the City of Paris, a municipal corporation, as' Lessor, with Kenneth Gifford, as Lessee, for a period of three years, beginning November 1, 1974 and ending October 31, 1977, upon the terms and conditions and in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A.
