Ray Steelman and Nathan Bell to re- <br />zone Lots A and 1 through 11, Block 2, Lamar Terrace Addition, from a One -- Family <br />Dwelling District to a General Retail District. Mayor Brunette referred the petition <br />to the Planning and Zoning Commission for their study and recommendation and called for <br />a public hearing at the next regular Council sleeting. <br />City Manager Sweatt, noting that the Airport Advisory Board had recommended that the <br />present operators be allowed to continue under the 1974 operational permits., recom- <br />mended th-at the permits of Jimmy Wrenn, J. D. Howell, and Elmer Hadaway he continued <br />for the year 1975. A motion was made by Councilman Rainey and seconded by Councilman <br />Stone that the recommendation of the city manager be approved. The motion carried: <br />7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing open on the proposed assessments for street <br />irillprovements in the 2500, 2600 block of West Brame Street and West Sherman Street. <br />Pairs. Robert Bailey, Sulphur Springs, Texas, appeared before the Council on behalf of <br />property at 2515 West Brame Street. Mrs. Bailey was seeking information only and of- <br />fered no objections to the project. <br />Pyir. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Brunette called for review of bids received for resurfacing of tennis courts at <br />Culbertson Park, and the following bids were presented by the city manager: <br />Murphy Lumber Co. $16,666.66 <br />Ed Kinsey <br />8,386.00 <br />City ilanager S,Ieatt recommended that the bid of Ed Kinsey be accepted. <br />Resolution No. 1666, authorizing the mayor to enter into a contract with Ed Kinsey -For <br />resurfacing 6 tennis courts in Culbertson Park, was presented.
