Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris in special session convened pursuant to the directions of the City Charter of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, on this the 14th day of April, 1976. Haynes, City Forney City Judge Cedric Townsend administered the.Oath of Office to the seven Councilmen -, and the seven Councilmen assumed their seats.at the Council table.. Mayor Brunette advised that the organization of the Council would necessarily be at the next regular Council meeting on May 10, 1976 as required by City Charter and that nomination was in order for a temporary chairman to.serve until the next regular Council meeting. Councilman Hinds nominated Councilman Brunette as temporary chair -- man and was seconded by Councilman Rainey. A motion was made by Councilman - Williams and seconded by Councilman Stone that nominations cease and that Councilman Brunette be elected by acclamation. The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays, and Mayor Brunette was elected temporary chairman until the next regular Council meeting. City Manager Sweatt requested dates be set for a tour of the City facilities some- time during the month of April. A motion was made by Councilman Philley and se- conded by Councilman Fisher to set April 29 and 30, 1976 as a date to tour the City facilities. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays.
