732 <br />City Manager Sweatt- presented a request from Mr. Vic Ressler for water service out - <br />side the city limits within the "gray area" to serve a proposed new sub - division <br />that falls within the City of 'Paris extra - territorial jurisdiction. City Manager <br />Sweatt recommended the approval of the request, subject to the compliance of the <br />sub - divider with the city ordinances and state law regarding sub- division within the <br />extra - territorial jurisdiction. Mr. Ressler was present at the meeting and stated <br />that he was aware of the sub - division - regulations. A motion was made by Councilman - <br />Philley and seconded by Councilman Williams to approve the request of Mr. Ressler <br />for 22 water connections in the. "gray area" outside the city limits subject -to com <br />pliance.to local and state laws. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt requested authorization to advertise for bids.for a steel wheel - <br />roller in the Street Department. A motion was made by Councilman Williams and se- <br />conded by Councilman Rainey to approve the request of the city manager., The motion <br />carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt. requested-authorization for bids for accounting equipment, such <br />bids to be received June 9, 1976, at 10:00 A. M., tabulated, and presented to the <br />City Council at its regular meeting on June 14, 1976. A motion was made by Council <br />man Fisher and seconded by Councilman Rainey to approve the request of the city mana- <br />ger._ The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt recommended consideration of the Council to employ the firm of <br />McClanahan and Holmes-to perform the annual audit as required by City Charter. A <br />motion was made by Councilman Hinds and seconded by Councilman Rainey to approve <br />-the recommendation of the city manager. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 1756, appointing Ben M. Hinds and Walter F. Williams, Council members, <br />as members of the Board of Directors of the Arlo -Tex Council of Governments, was pre - <br />sented.. A motion was made by Councilman Williams and seconded by Councilman Fisher <br />for the adoption of the resolution. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
