7 ED ' <br />Mayor Brunette called for the tabulation of bids received for petroleum products. <br />City Manager Sweatt presented the tabulation of bids and recommended that the low <br />bids in each category be approved. After discussion, a motion was made by Council- <br />man Hinds and seconded by Councilman Philley to approve the lowest tank wagon <br />prices as submitted with review at periodic intervals to insure continued price <br />structure and award to lowest bidder of oils and lubricants. The motion carried:. <br />7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt requested authorization to advertise for bids for Phase I of <br />Sanitary Landfill work and recommended August 4, 1976 at 10:00 A. M. be set as the <br />deadline to receive such bids with consideration by the City Council at its Au- <br />gust 9, 1976 meeting. A motion was made by Councilman Williams and seconded by <br />Councilman Philley to approve the request. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt requested authorization to advertise and receive bids for <br />approximately 2300 linear feet of force main replacements and recommended August <br />4, 1976 at 10:00 A. M. be set as a deadline to receive such bids. A motion was <br />made by Councilman Hinds and seconded by Councilman Philley to approve the request.. <br />The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt requested authorization to advertise for bids for tractor and <br />mower for Cox Field Airport, such bids to be received August 4, 1976 and presented <br />to the City Council at its meeting on August 9, 1976. A motion was made by Council- <br />man Hinds and seconded by Councilman Williams to approve the request. The motion <br />carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt requested authorization to advertise for bids for health insurance <br />and life insurance coverage for city employees and dependents, such -bids to be re" <br />ceived until 10:00 A. M., September 8, 1976 with consideration by the City Council <br />at its meeting on September 13, 1976. A motion was made by Councilman Philley and <br />seconded by Councilman Fisher to approve the request. The motion carried: 7 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt requested authorization to advertise for bids for playground <br />equipment, stating that the City had received approval of Parks and Wildlife for <br />Blade Park playground equipment grant and recommended bids be received on August.4, <br />1976 and presented to the City Council at its regular meeting on August 9, 1976. A <br />motion was made by Councilman Swaim and seconded by Councilman Fisher to approve <br />the request. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt presented a request from Mr. Wayne Wise for establishment of <br />a private roadway on Lot 22B, City Block 312, and recommended that the matter be <br />referred to the Planning and Zoning Commission for consideration and recommendation. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Hinds and seconded by Councilman Williams to re- <br />ceive the request and refer to the Planning and Zoning Commission for their study <br />and recommendation. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt requested that the.Council consider an ordinance regarding a <br />table of organization and duty assignment providing for the position of Assistant <br />Fire Marshall and Training Officer classification. <br />
