Mayor Brunette announced that the next order of business would be'consideration of <br />the Franchise Ordinance granting the Lamar County Human Resources Council, Inca <br />use of City streets for bus service for the aged and handicapped. City'Manager Sweatt recommended that the low bid of the Bill Booth Motor <br />Company be approved in the amount.of $4,183.75.. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Rainey and seconded by Councilman Moore that the recommendation. of the city mana- <br />ger be approved. The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays <br />Mayor Brunette announced that the next order of business would be consideration of <br />bids received for agricultural lease at Cox Field. City Manager.Sweatt advised that'T <br />no bids had been received, and requested authorization to re- advertise -for bids to <br />be received on March 3, 1976, tabulated,.and presented to the Council at its regu- <br />lar meeting on March 8, 1976. A.motion was'made.by Councilman King and seconded-by <br />Councilman Stone to approve the request. The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mr. Tom Gribble, representing AGPRO, Inc., appeared before the Council requesting <br />revision of lease provisions for acreage at Cox Field. Mr. Gribble requested dele- <br />tion from the lease of the wording "on a model dairy" and insert, therefore in <br />r a modern livestock or poultry confinement system After discussion,-a motion was <br />made by Councilman King and seconded.by Councilman Stone to authorize the modifica- <br />tion of the lease.
