654 . <br />City Manager Sweatt reported to the Council progress being made on acquisition of <br />right -of -way on 24th .Street S. E. north of Jefferson Road. Mr. Sweatt advised that. <br />right -of -way had not been obtained from the Mainard Bray Estate because of the <br />difficulty of locating all heirs and requested authorization to proceed with acqui- <br />sition, including use of eminent domain proceedings. A motion was made by Council- <br />man Rainey and seconded by Councilman Moore to approve the request of the city mana- <br />ger.- The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 1740, appointing Richard Rex as; chairman -of the Airport Advisory <br />Board and Lawrence Mann, Bruce. Carr, Killiam T. Booth*, and L. Wayne Clement as mem- <br />bers of the Airport Advisory Board to serve through December 31, 1978, was pre- <br />sented. A motion was made by Councilman Rainey and seconded by Councilman Sterling <br />for the adoption of the resolution. -The motion- carried: 6 ayes,. 0 nays. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1740 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council'of the City of Paris, did. in <br />Resolution No. i 735, re- appoint Lawrence Mann as Chairman and <br />.Richard Rex and Bruce Carr as members of the Airport Advisory <br />Board, and appoint William T. Boothe and L. Wayne Clement as <br />members of the Airport Advisory Board, all to serve through <br />December 31, 1978; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Airport Advisory Board has .recommended <br />to the City Council that Richard Rex be appointed as Chairman of <br />such Board; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF- PARIS, That Richard Rex, be, and he is hereby appointed as <br />Chairman of the Airport Advisory Board, and Lawrence Mann, <br />Bruce Carr, William T. Boothe and L. Wayne.
