Resolution No. 1750, authorizing the processing of an application for a grant from the Texas Criminal Justice Council in. the amount of $13,227.00 to finance a project entitled Paris PD Tape Logging Recorder, naming the - project director and finance of- ficer and authorizing the city manager to execute necessary applications, was pre- sented. A motion was made by Councilman Sterling and seconded by Councilman Stone for the adoption of the resolution. The motion carried__ 7 ayes, 0 nays. City Manager Sweatt requested authorization to advertise for bids for reconstruction RESOLUTION NO. 1750 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is aware of the fact that the Paris Police Department is in need of a tape logging recorder; which will improve said Department's efficiency; and, WHEREAS, in order to finance the purchase of such tape logging recorder, it is necessary for the City of Paris to avail itself of funds made available through a grant by the Texas Criminal justice Council; NOW, THEREFORE., BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY. OF PARIS, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the City of Paris process. an application for a grant from the Texas Criminal justice Council, to finance the project entitled "Paris P. D. Tape. - Logging Recorder" .9 at a total cost of $13, 227 00 to be furnished by C. J. C. 2. That Loyd Mathews, Chief, Paris Polies Department, ' be, and he is hereby appointed Project Director. 3. That H. C. Greene, Director of Finance, be, and he is hereby appointed Financial Officer of . said project.. 4. That Kerry R. Sweatt, City Manager,* be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver, on behalf of the City of Paris, the .necessary applica- tions,- communications, . instruments and documents - necessary for the completion of said project.
