Mr. Klinkerman said they could look into that option. <br />1415 <br />A Motion to proceed and bring back a site location for review by Council was made by <br />Council Member Frierson and seconded by Council Member Avila. Motion carried, 4 ayes — 2 <br />nays, with Council Members Wright and Pickle casting the dissenting votes. <br />16. Deliberate and act on RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -083: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING TWO MEMBERS TO <br />FILL THE UNEXPIRED TERMS OF MICHAEL CODY AND DUSTIN LINDSEY ON <br />THE MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD IN ACCORDANCE WITH POLICIES <br />AND PROCEDURES FOR STANDING BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND <br />COMMITTEES; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO <br />THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />A Motion to appoint Casey Ressler to serve the unexpired term of Michael Cody which <br />expires in 2014 and appoint Karie Raulston to serve the unexpired term of Dustin Lindsey which <br />expires in 2012, was made by Council Member Pickle and seconded by Council Member Wright. <br />Motion carried, 6 ayes — 0 nays. <br />17. Receipt and deliberate on Application for Disannexation filed by Bob and Martha <br />Crockett. <br />City Clerk Janice Ellis said that she wanted City Council to inform that that a petition for <br />disannexation had been filed and that City Staff would be bringing back additional information <br />to Council in order for Council to provide direction to Staff. <br />18. Deliberate and act on A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS; APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN <br />EXECUTIVE SEARCH AGREEMENT WITH STRATEGIC GOVERNMENT <br />RESOURCES, INC. (SGR), TO CONDUCT A SEARCH FOR A NEW CITY <br />MANAGER; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE <br />SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Hashmi said this was an important position and that City Council had reviewed at <br />least 70 applications, interviewed some applicants, and re- interviewed a couple of the applicants. <br />Mayor Hashmi said he was looking for someone who had a history of achievements and that he <br />did not object conducting interviews in open session, if applicants did not have a problem with <br />doing so. Council Member Grossnickle said he did not think they should interview anyone that <br />had already sent in an application. Council Member Wright said he thought the Council should <br />interview the firm prior to engaging their services and that he did not think employees should be <br />allowed to participate in the selection of their next boss. Council Member Frierson said if they <br />needed a search firm to find a city manager, then he was fine with that. Mr. Anderson said he <br />could ask the consultant to meet with them. <br />
