Proclamation declaring October 27,, 2011 as National Children's Study Day. <br />Mayor Hashmi read the proclamation declaring October 27, 2011 as National Children's <br />Study Day and presented it to Dr. Cherry and Ms. Cochran. <br />Consent Atzenda <br />Mayor Hashmi inquired of Council Members if they wished to pull any items from the <br />Consent Agenda for discussion. There were none. <br />A Motion to approve the Consent Agenda was made by Council Member Pickle and <br />seconded by Council Member Frierson. The Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed <br />to approve and adopt Consent Agenda Item 6. <br />6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, <br />commissions, and committees: <br />a. Paris Public Library (6- 22 -11; 7- 20 -11; and 8- 17 -11) <br />b. Traffic Commission (9 -6 -11) <br />c. Planning and Zoning (9 -6 -11) <br />Retular Agenda <br />7. Deliberate and act on the Master Plat of Lots 1 -8 and the Preliminary Plat of Lots 1, 2, <br />and 3, Block A, Lamar Business Park Addition CB 250, located in the 800 Block of Loop <br />286 N.E. <br />City Engineer Shawn Napier explained that Mr. Larry Fendley planned on developing <br />three lots and extending a sewer line on the south side of the three lots. Mr. Napier said that a <br />water line currently exists along the loop frontage and that the master plan complies with the <br />Master Drainage Plan. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member McCarthy and was <br />seconded by Council Member Wright. Motion carried, 7 ayes — 0 nays. <br />8. Report by Utilities Director Doug Harris. <br />Utilities Director Doug Harris gave an overview of the Department of Utilities, which <br />included operations, maintenance and goals for water production, wastewater treatment and lift <br />stations. <br />
