Regular Council Meeting October 10, 2011 Page 4 Council Member McCarthy said he would like for this item to be postponed until the November 14th meeting, because he would not be at the October 24th meeting. He also said he was going to contact several citizens, because he would like to see a minority serve on this Board. First reading, deliberate and possibly act on ORDINANCE NO. 2011 -043: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 2 -98 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS; PROVIDING AN INCREASE IN EMERGENCY AND NON - EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICES RATES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. EMS Director Kent Klinkerman asked the City Council to consider an increase of EMS mileage charge from $10.00 to $11.00, because of increased fleet operation expenses. He said that the EMS Billing Division billed approximately 61,000 miles for fiscal year 2010 -2011. First reading, deliberate and possibly act on ORDINANCE NO. 2011 -044: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL MAP ADOPTED IN SECTION 31 -65, OF THE CODE- OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS; ESTABLISHING A STOP SIGN ON SOUTH COLLEGIATE DRIVE AT LOOP 286 STOPPING SOUTH -BOUND TRAFFIC ON SOUTH COLLEGIATE DRIVE; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, A SAVINGS CLAUSE, A PENALTY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
