Deliberate and act on RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -010: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PARIS AND STEVE COKER TO MANAGE, INSTRUCT AND COORDINATE THE SOFTBALL PROGRAM FOR THE CITY OF PARIS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Grossnickle and seconded by Council Member Frierson. Motion carried, 7 ayes — 0 nays. 18. Deliberate and act on RESOLUTION NO. 2012-011: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AIRPORT PROJECT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT WITH TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AVIATION TO APPLY FOR FEDERAL FUNDING FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT COX FIELD AIRPORT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member McCarthy and seconded by Council Member Pickle. Motion carried, 7 ayes — 0 nays. Mayor Hashmi moved to item 23. 23. Convene into Executive Session: • Pursuant to Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code, to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee as follows: review applications for the position of City Manager. • Pursuant to Section 551.087 of the Texas Government Code to (1) discuss or deliberate regarding commercial or financial information that the governmental body has received from a business prospect that the governmental body seeks to have locate, stay, or expand in or near the territory of the governmental body and with which the governmental body is conducting economic development negotiations; or (2) to deliberate the offer of a financial or other incentive to a business prospect described by Subdivision (1). • Pursuant to Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code, to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee as follows: Annual evaluations of the City Manager, City Attorney, and Municipal Court Judge. Mayor Hashmi convened City Council into Executive Session at 8:18 p.m.
