Hashmi (A N feS <br />Council Members: Aaron Jenkins; Billie <br />and Cleonne Drake <br />City Staff: John Godwin, City Manager; Kent McIlyar, City <br />Attorney; Janice Ellis, City Clerk; Gene Anderson, <br />Finance Director; Shawn Napier, City Engineer; <br />Bob Hundley, Police Chief; Ronnie Grooms, Fire <br />Chief; Kent Klinkerman, EMS Director; and Doug <br />Harris, Public Utilities Director <br />Absent: Council Members: Richard Grossnickle and Matt Frierson <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Hashmi called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Pastor Donnie Edwards gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Jenkins led the pledge. <br />4. Citizens' forum. <br />Michael Gladfelter, 1345 S.E. 6' Street — he distributed three photographs of houses on <br />Sixth Street. He said three houses were disintegrated, needed to be secured and made the same <br />request two years ago. <br />Bill Flanary, 1116 Lamar Avenue — he said he was appearing on behalf of Roger and <br />Sharon Stripland and that City staff should go by the same policy that citizens appearing at the <br />Council meeting were required to follow, which was no personal attacks on Council Members or <br />City staff. He said the Striplands had been accused of engaging in theft of city services and <br />subsequently, had obtained affidavits revealing the truth. Mr. Flanary questioned how this could <br />have happened. He asked that the City correct their records and procedures so this type of <br />
