Squatters are using the <br />house, we have had multiple code violations, deteriorating on the south side of the <br />house, boards are popping off, sinking, unsecure, broken windows, holes in back <br />porch ceiling, leaking door open, inside ceiling falling and leaking, sagging, out <br />buildings need to be tore down also. Discussion about why we leave the concrete <br />slab on some demolitions. It comes down to money and up keep and what is most <br />beneficial to the City. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: This property is declared a nuisance and <br />has 10 days to secure the main structure if not the city has the right to and 30 <br />days to demolish if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a $1000 <br />per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Ken Kohls, seconded by Sally McEwin to accept Robert <br />Talley's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 7 -0 <br />E. 4725 Bonham; City Block 344, Lot PT 5 <br />Owner: Skyler and Casi Susanne Burchinal 261 Se 26th Paris, TX 75460 <br />Taxes Owed: $315.32 for 2015 <br />Chad Lindsey was recused from discussion and voting on this property. <br />Robert Talley stated that Skyler has recently purchased the property and it has <br />two structures on it and needs more time to have this structure demolished. The <br />property is hidden by brush and limbs, has deterioration on roof, the ceiling is <br />falling in and the back of the structure is collapsing. Skylar agrees that the <br />property needs to be demolished and asked from 90 days. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: This property is declared a nuisance and <br />has 90 days to demolish if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a <br />$1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Ken Kohls, seconded by Matthew Allen to accept <br />Robert Talley's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 7 -0 <br />F. 704 E Booth; City Block 63 -A, Lot 16 -A <br />This property was pulled from the meeting because there's some confusion on the <br />owner. The property will be brought back to the commission once the property <br />owner is identified correctly. <br />4. Code Enforcement Update <br />Five structures were presented to BSC and seven were demolished in the month of <br />October. <br />There will be no meeting in December due to the holidays. <br />
