5. HPO report: <br />Social Media Campaign: This Place Matters- Cheri Bedford, Main Street Manager and Historic Preservation <br />Officer explained in detail the Facebook social media campaign and the "This Place Matters" a national <br />campaign led by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Each commissioner was asked to pick a <br />commercial building and write a brief narrative about the place and why it matters to the downtown historic <br />preservation efforts. A prop replicating a "dropped pin " that is available on the saving places website will be <br />made for the commissioners by HPO to use as a visual. When each commissioner is ready, they can contact HPO, <br />and she will take a picture of them and upload it on Paris Main Street Social Media pages along with the brief <br />history. This will also be uploaded to the national site using the hashtag ##thisplacematters, and also other Paris <br />local history and downtown hashtags. Commissioner Alsobrook requested each commissioner go through HPO <br />to make sure they do not duplicate each other. <br />$2,500 Facade Grant administratively approved 30 E. Future Agenda item: Survey Monkey, Murals <br />Commissioner Allcorn expressed her concern for the Murals on S. Main and wanting to preserve them, but didn't <br />see the need at this time to address the murals on the next agenda. Commissioner Conrad will explain the details <br />about using survey monkey for finding out the needs of the community, so this item will be place on the next <br />agenda. <br />Adjourn: A motion was made by Commissioner Dux to adjourn at 5:01 p.m. and seconded by Commissioner <br />Peeples, motion carried 5 — 0. Next meeting March 9, 2016. <br />After the regularly scheduled meeting the commissioners met at 50 N.
