Not asking for demo on all buildings; inspected every building; 3, 4, back of 1, <br />and 5 recommended for demo. <br />Again, owner has contacted a contractor and agreed to demo. <br />Ken Kkohls — Are we going to require building be secured? <br />Robert Talley said building is secure. Owner has told tenants they cannot <br />operate their business in the buildings to be demoed. <br />Ken Kohls — does city have authority to state building is unsafe to conduct <br />business? <br />Robert Talley — yes; and we have. <br />Ken Kohls — can we enforce with Police? <br />Stephanie Harris says there is a criminal ordinance against entering building that's <br />been red - tagged. <br />Robert Talley said there are currently 4 -5 red tags on the building. Caution tape <br />around front of building. <br />Ben Vaughan — can the back of the building be taken off and the remainder still <br />be in use? Yes. New opening can be secured. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Demolition of 3, 4, 5, and back portion of 1 <br />within 30 days, or city has right. <br />Motion was made by Charles Richards, seconded by Chad Lindsey to accept <br />Robert Talley's recommendation.
