MINUTES OF THE MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD <br />PARIS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS 107 E. KAUFMAN PARIS, TEXAS 75460 <br />TUESDAY, June 10, 2025 <br />Present: Board Members: Glee Emmite, Will Walker, Melissa Jones, Kim Kalina, <br />Tyrone Hayden, <br />City Representatives: Trinity Frazier, City <br />Osel Amo-Mensah, Director of Plan and Comm. Dev. <br />Chamber Representative: Karen Dougherty <br />Chairman Emmite called the meeting to order at 4:30pm by reading the board's vision and mission <br />statements. <br />1. Citizen forum: none. <br />2. Review minutes from the February meeting: <br />A motion was made to approve the April and May meeting minutes by Walker Motion was <br />seconded by Tlayden. 5 ayes, 0 nays. Motion passes. <br />3. Committee Reports <br />a. Committee members: Kalina reported that she attended the Paris Arts Movement meeting and the <br />Imagine the Possibilities Tour, with other realtors she invited to attend. Although Hart was not in <br />attendance, Kalina reported on her behalf that Hart attended the Poetry meeting, a group of local <br />artists are moving forward with the painted crosswalk "beta test" and plans are underway to host a <br />Paris Art Festival in the spring of 2026. Emmite reported that the new downtown maps have been <br />distributed. <br />b. PDA : Emmite reported that they are looking forward to the Tour de Paris in July. <br />c. HPC: Emmite reported that the "Vintage Hangout" (previously Time Flies) asked to replace <br />historic windows. They were given permission to replace the glass. <br />d. Chamber/VCC: Dougherty reported that there was a lot of involvement in the community garage <br />sale on June 6 and 7 and the next one will be in October. 903 Sun Sets kicked off on June 5th with <br />7300 people in attendance. The municipal band will play Friday nights in June. The RRV Car <br />show is this Saturday. Fireworks show is July 3, Parade is July 4, Tour de Paris is July 19, starting <br />at 8:00am. There is a call for all downtown businesses to come outside and cheer for the riders <br />coming through downtown. Churches are welcome to provide cookies at the rest stops. Downtown <br />maps are going great. <br />
