Board of Adjustment Meeting <br />May 6,.2025 <br />Page 1 <br />MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />MAY 6, 2025 <br />The Board of Adjustment of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 12 p.m. on May 6, <br />2025, at the City of Paris- City Hall, Council Chambers located at 107 E Kaufman St. <br />Present: Board Members: David Hamilton, William Sanders, Ben Vaughan, Richard <br />Thompson and Jerry Williams. <br />City Representative: Stephanie Ham's, Osei Amo-Mensah, Clyde Crews, <br />Rob Vine and Alii. Putnam. <br />Absent: Harley Draven. <br />1. The Board ofAdjustment meeting was called to order by Chairman David Hamilton, at <br />12.-OOp.m. <br />2. Approval of minutes ftom, previous meeting. (April 1, 2025) <br />Motion was made by Bill Sanders, seconded by Ben Vaughan to approve minutes for the <br />April 1, 2025 meeting. Motion carried 5 ayes — 0 nays. <br />3. Public hearing to consider and take action on the petition of Vicki Ballard, regarding a <br />7.55' variance to the Build Line on the west side of the property as indicated on the plat <br />on Lot 1P Block A, qfthe Dylan's Place 266 Addition, being located at 1425 NE 20th Street. <br />David Hamilton opened the public hearing. <br />Director of Planning and Zoning, Osei Amo-Mensah presented the case to the board and <br />gave City recommendation. <br />Vicki Ballard, applicant, spoke in favor of the request stating that the building is existing <br />from the 60s and the variance is sought simply to bring it into compliance. <br />No one else spoke in favor or opposition of the request. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Staffmember, Paige Unger, made note of two input forms submitted in favor of the request. <br />Motion was made by -- Richard Thompson, seconded by Ben Vaughan to approve the <br />variance to the Build Line on the west side of the property as indicated on the plat based <br />on the following findings. Motion carried 5 ayes - 0 nays. <br />
