Board of Adjustment Meeting <br />January 6,2026 <br />Page I <br />MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />JANUARY 6,2026 <br />The Board of Aqjustment of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 12 p.m. on January <br />6� 2026, at the City of Paris- City Hall, Council Chambers located at 107 E Kaufman St. <br />Present-, Board Members: David Hamilton, Harley Draven, Bill Sanders, Ben <br />Vaughan and Richard Thompson. <br />City Representative.- Osei ' <br />Amo-MensahStephanie Ham <br />,s and Rose <br />Beverly. <br />Absent: None <br />1. The Board ofA diustment meeting was called to order by David Ham. ilton, at 12: 00 p.m. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting. (November 4, 2025) <br />Motion was made by Bill Sanders, seconded by Harley Draven to approve minutes for the <br />November 4,, 2025 meeting. Motion carried 5 ayes — 0 nays. <br />3. Public hearing to consider and take action on the petition of Michael White regarding a <br />variance to the City of Paris Area Regulations, Section 9-402.1(2) on Lot 1, City Block <br />190, of the R4U Ventures Addition being located at 1347 W Houston Street. <br />David Hamilton opened the public hearing. <br />Director of Planning and Zoning, Osei Amo-Mensah presented the case to the board mid <br />gave City reconunendation. <br />There was discussion amongst the board and Mr. Amo-Mensah as to how the City came to <br />their recommendation. <br />No one else spoke in favor or opposition of the request. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />There was discussion amongst the board and Mr. Amo-Mensah about the platting. <br />Motion was made by Harley Draven, seconded by Ben Vaughan to approve the variance <br />to the City of Paris Area Regulations, Section 9-402.1(2) based on the following findings. <br />Motion carried 4 ayes - 0 nays — I abstaining by Bill Sanders. <br />FINDINGS: <br />
