CITY COUNCIL AGENDA <br />Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session <br />at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2011. The meeting will be held at the City Council <br />Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted <br />upon are as follows: <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />2. Invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />4. Citizens' forum. <br />(Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. The <br />Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the <br />matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factuai information. <br />Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not <br />appropriate for citizens' forum.) <br />5. Public Announcements. <br />a. Proclamation designating 2011 as the Second Century Celebration Year of Boy <br />Scouts of America and declaring February as Official Boy Scout month. <br />Consent Agenda <br />Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable <br />to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed <br />from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. <br />6. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meeting on February 14, 2011. <br />7. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, <br />commissions, and committees: <br />a. PEDC minutes (1-12-2011) <br />b. Planning & Zoning minutes (1-3-2011) <br />c. Paris Historic Preservation Commission minutes (1-24-2011) <br />d. Paris Public Library Advisory Board minutes (1-19-2011). <br />8. Deliberate on January monthly financial report. <br />9. Deliberate on drainage ditch maintenance report. <br />Regular Agenda <br />10. Public hearing, first reading, deliberate and possibly on an Ordinance changing zoning <br />from a Light Industrial District (LI) to a Public Lands and Institution District (PLI) on <br />Lots 5 and 6, Block 1, Smith's 2"d Addition, located at 165 West Center. <br />11. Presentation of the annual report on racial profiling policy. <br />
