<br /> AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN
<br /> BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE
<br /> ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 17.47 ACRES,
<br /> MORE OR LESS, WHICH IS LESS THAN TEN PERCENT (10%) OF THE
<br /> TERRITORY INCLUDED WITHIN ITS PRESENT CITY LIMITS, WHICH
<br /> SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT
<br /> BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS;
<br /> APPROVING SERVICE PLAN AND PROVIDING ZONING FOR SAID
<br /> TERRITORY.
<br /> WHEREAS, public hearings before the City Council of the
<br /> City of Paris, Paris, Texas, where all interested persons
<br /> were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the
<br /> proposed annexation of the following described property:
<br /> Being a tract or parcel of land situated
<br /> about 22 miles North 50° West of the City of
<br /> Paris, County of Lamar and State of Texas, a part
<br /> of the B. F. Bourland Survey No. 70 and John
<br /> Herrington Survey No. 436, and being described as
<br /> follows:
<br /> BEGINNING at a stake for corner in the North
<br /> boundary line of Loop Highway 286 at the West
<br /> boundary line of said Herrington Survey, said
<br /> point being the Southwest corner of a 2.46 acre
<br /> tract of land surveyed for M.S. Kimbell;
<br /> THENCE North a distance of 2050 feet to a
<br /> stake for corner at the Northwest corner of a 15
<br /> acre tract of land conveyed L.W. Martin by deed
<br /> recorded in Vol. 364, page 278 of the Deed Records
<br /> of said County and State;
<br /> THENCE along the South boundary line of Farm
<br /> Road 79 as follows: South 77° East a distance of
<br /> 200 feet; South 79° East a distance of 211 feet to
<br /> a stake for corner at the Northeast corner of said
<br /> 15 acre tract of land;
<br /> THENCE South 0°20' West a distance of 1795
<br /> feet to a stake for corner at the Southeast corner
<br /> of said 2.46 acre tract of land;
<br /> THENCE South 66°30' West along the North
<br /> boundary line of said Loop Highway 286 a distance
<br /> of 427 feet to the place or beginning and contain-
<br /> ing 17.47 acres of land.
<br /> were held at Paris, Texas, on the 6th day of August, 1987,
<br /> in Regular Session convened, at 5:15 o'clock P.M., in the
<br /> Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas on the lOth day of
<br /> August, 1987, in Regular Session convened, at 7:00 o'clock
<br /> P.M., in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, which
<br /> dates are not more than forty (40) nor less than twenty (20)
<br /> days prior to the institution of annexation proceedings;
<br /> and,
<br /> WHEREAS, notice of such public hearings was published
<br /> in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of
<br /> Paris, Texas, and in the above described territory, on the
<br /> 22nd and 26th days of Jul_y, 1987, which dates are not more
<br /> than twenty (20) nor less than ten (10) days prior to the
<br /> date of such public hearings; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the total corporate area of the City of Paris,
<br /> Paris, Texas, on the first day of January, 1987, was 14,284
<br /> acres; and,
