ORDINANCE NO. 2055 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT APPENDIX A OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS 2 TEXAS, BE AMENDE,D BY REVISING SBCTIONS 8-201, DEFINITION NO. 23, 10-103b AND 10-104a OF ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710; ADDING NEIGHBORHOOD GROCERY STORE TO THE DEFINITION OF SMALL SHOPS OR PLANTS, MAKING NATURAL SCREENING A PERMISSIBLE TYPE OF SCREENING SEPARATING OFF-STREET PARKING IN CONNECTION WITH AN OFFICE, RE- TAIL, COMMERCIAL OR INDUSTRIAL USE, FROM A RESIDFNTIAL DISTRICT, AND INCREASING FROM 3,000 TO 51000 SQUARE FEET, RETAIL, COMMER- CIAL AND INDUSTRIAZ. STRUCTURES REQUIRED TO PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN OFF-STREET FACILITI ES FOR THE LOADING AND UNLOADING OF MERCHAN- DISE; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCFS IN CONFLICT HgZEWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EF'FECTIVE DATE OF NOVEMBgZ 1, 1971. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That Section 8-201, Definition No. 23, of Appendix A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: 118-201 The following definitions and explanatory notes supplement, restrict and define the meaning and intent of the use regulations as set forth in the Use Schedule and Provisions 8-101 through 8-109 inclusive. 23. Grocery, Cleaning, Small Plant or Shop Neighborhood grocery store, custom clean- ing and other small shops not exceeding five thousand (5,000) square feet of floor area." Section 2. That Section 10-103b of Appendix A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "SBCTION 10-103 SP BCIAL OFF-STREET PARKING REGULATIDNS b. tnTherever a lot or tract is used for off- street parking of motor vehicl.es in connec- tion with an office, retail, commercial or industrial use and is adjacent to or across the street from a residentially zoned district, a masonry wall, solid ornamental fence or natural opaque screen of not less than three (3) feet nor more than six (6) feet in height shall be erected and main- tained so as to enclose the off-street parking area and so as to screen the parking use from adjacent residential districts and residential uses." Section 3. That Section 10-104a of Appendix A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows:
