1005 RES ELECTION WAS HELD BY QUALIFIED VOTERS OF COP ON 3RD DAY OF APRIL 1962

RESOLUTION NO. 1005 . WHEREAS, an election was held by the qualified voters of the City of Paris on the 3rd day of April, A. D. , 1962, for the purpose of voting for and electing four (4) membera of the City Council of the City of Paris to serve for the ensuing two (2) years, to-wit: 1. Councilman From Ward One (1) 2. Councilman From Ward Two (2) 3. Councilman From Ward Three (3) 4. Councilman From Ward Four (4) WHEREAS, as required by law and directed and provided by the Charter and ordinances of the City of Paris, such election wae conducted and held at four (4) specified and designated polling places, that is, one polling place in each of the four (4) wards of said City; and, WHEREAS, sealed returns of said election made by the duly appointed and designated election officiala of and for the four (4) respective voting boxes have been duly made to the City Council of the City of Paris, as re- quired by law, which returns, after due and deliberate review and canvass thereof, show the following results of said election, to-wit: (1) TN WARD ONE (1) A TOTAL OF 389 VOTES WERE CAST AS FOLLOWS: For Councilman From Ward One: Verlin E. Stewart, 385 votes; Write-in Candidates, votes. For Councilman From Ward Two: E. L. (Andy) Anderson, 381 votes; Write-in Candidates, votes. For Councilman From Ward Three: W. D. (Dub) King, 382 votes; Write-in Candidates, votes. For Councilman From Ward Four: Charlie Walker, 381 votes; W rite -in Candidate s, 1 vote s. (2) ]N WARD TW0 (2) A TOTAL OF 107 VOTES WERE CAST AS FOLLOW5: For Councilman From Ward One: Verlin E. Stewart, 105 votes; Write-in Candidates, votes. For Councilman From Ward Two: E. L. (Andy) Anderson, 107 votes; Write-in Candidates, votes. For C ouncilman From Ward Three: W. D. (I?ub) King, inr votes; Write-in Candidates, votes.
